Applications:Bicyclopyrone belongs to the hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) inhibitor class of herbicides. It acts by blocking the function of HPPD required for producing essential compounds for carotenoid pigments. Without carotenoid pigments, the plant bleaches and eventually dies.
